MRS. M.  SANDE LIGUNYA


Mrs. M. S. Ligunya aged 29 years is married and a mother of two. She is an associate at Gitobu Imanyara & Co. Advocates and the head of the Civil litigation department at the firm.


Mrs. Ligunya is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.  She holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from the University of Nairobi (LL.B) (Hons) acquired in 2001. 


Mrs. M. S. Ligunya has indisputably distinguished herself as a leader in litigation, both as an Advocate and associate at Gitobu Imanyara & Co. Advocates.  She  possesses a mastery of civil and criminal law and procedure  that is invaluable for the practice.

THE PARTNERS' PROFILE


HON. GITOBU IMANYARA, MP. CENTRAL IMENTI


Hon.  Gitobu Imanyara aged 55 years, is married, and a father of two (2).  He is the founder, Senior Partner and head of the constitutional department in the firm.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi.

 

He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya of over 30 years standing, within which period, he has undertaken work and achieved in-depth expertise in civil and criminal litigation and a classical and virtually innate knowledge and skills in constitutional and human rights law.  Toward a more socially conscious and people needs driven practice, this outstanding practitioner, has spearheaded and championed the evolution of a legal regime and system geared towards protection of the constitutional  rights of people, recognized by various institutions as evidenced by the following Awards and Honours:  The 2000 scholars of the 20th Century (International Biographic Center, Cambridge England), The Democracy Award (U.S Government's National Endowment for Democracy), The Prize of Freedom Honour (44th World Congress, Lucerne, Switzerland), The Human Rights Awards (International Human Rights Law Group Washington, USA), The Louis M.  Lyons Award (Harvard University Nieman Fellows, Cambridge Masschusettes USA), Golden Pen of Freedom (World Association of Newspapers Editors, Paris France). 

 

Beyond the borders of the firm, HON. GITOBU IMANYARA serves as an editor in chief of the Nairobi law monthly which is geared towards promoting the rule of law and democracy.

Hon. Gitobu Imanyara has published various articles on the law Monthly Report touching on various aspects of the law.

MR. MARANGU IMANYARA


Mr. Marangu Imanyara 30 years is single.  He is an Associate and the head of conveyancing department at the firm.


Mr. Marangu is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Warwick University in the United Kingdom.


Mr.  Marangu Imanyara has a distinct knowledge in conveyancing.  As a conveyancer he has been engaged in transfer of properties, perfection of securities for various banks and finance institutions.
